1. What Maybee is

Maybee is a private self-management tool for tracking exposure practice. It is not a medical device, not a healthcare service, and not a HIPAA-covered application. Your data here is not a clinical record.

2. Where your data lives

Maybee is local-first. Your hierarchies, hierarchy items, SUDS and willingness ratings, free-text notes, and reminder schedule are stored only in this browser's local database (IndexedDB) on this device. They are not uploaded to Maybee, any cloud database, your therapist, or any third party. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server-side copy of your exposure data.

3. What we do not collect

No name, email, address, phone number, payment information, demographic data, location, advertising identifiers, or usage analytics. The website itself is served over HTTPS, but the pages do not send any of your entered content back to a server.

4. Backups are your responsibility

Because nothing is uploaded, clearing your browser data, switching devices, or deleting the app may permanently delete your logs. Use Settings → Back up my data to export a JSON or CSV copy and keep it somewhere safe.

5. Treat your notes like a journal

Even though nothing leaves your device, avoid entering full names, addresses, workplaces, phone numbers, or other identifying details about yourself or other people. Anyone with access to your unlocked device could read these entries.

6. Deleting your data

Settings → Delete all local data removes every record from this browser's database. There is no undo. There is nothing for us to delete on the server, because we never had it.
